About
My name is Becky. I’m a native Californian who grew up in Northern California, attended college at USC in Los Angeles, and enjoyed three years in San Francisco where I began dating my now-husband, Adam, and worked at my favorite museum in the world, the Exploratorium. I’ve been back in LA for just over a year now, and Adam and I are about to embark on the biggest move of our lives, as we relocate to New Hampshire in June 2012 as participants of the Free State Project.
We have been planning and preparing for this move for over three years. Our first visit to New Hampshire was to attend Liberty Forum in 2009, and that trip confirmed our idea that New Hampshire is the right place for us.
When we arrive, we’ll be making our home in Manchester. I look forward to finding my niche among the activists, agorists, and fellow liberty-lovers there. By writing this blog, I aim to provide resources for others who are also in the planning stages of a move like ours, and I plan to continue this blog after we are in New Hampshire to record my experiences while settling into a new community and a new way of life.
I am an artist specializing in oil portraiture. If you are interested in my paintings, please visit rebeccatamar.com.
